I have over 20 years of experience working with high school students in creative writing. I bring a light-hearted approach to writing that takes some of the pressure off of the college application process. I have a B.A. in English Literature with an emphasis in narrative writing from Colorado College. I completed my coursework for essay coaching through the UCLA College Counselor Certification program.

In my process, we take ample time to find your unique voice through fun writing exercises. I help you formulate a personal statement, and we use that as a template for the Common Application prompts and the UC Personal Insight Questions. We work through all the essays needed for each individual school, as well as the supplemental sections.

I am also knowledgeable regarding financial aid questions and assisting with navigating the costs associated with attending college. As the parent of a current UC graduate, I have ample experience managing Pell Grants, loans and more.
