Hi! My name is Blythe Baten.

I have 20+ years of experience mentoring high school students in creative writing. Additionally, I am the Program Director for Los Angeles Repertory Theatre, a non-profit organization that brings arts in education to students in underserved schools. I have a B.A. in English Literature with an emphasis on narrative writing from Colorado College. I completed the coursework for essay coaching at UCLA's College Counselor Certification program. I work alongside students to formulate a personal statement that he/she/they can use as a template for both the common application and the UC Personal Insight Questions.
